It is a while since my beloved Nishika N8000 has seen the light of day, but one of the good folks at filmwasters.com posted a link to tutorial on how to create animated gif files using images from a Nishika. That reminded me of the jaw droppingly brilliant promotional videos for the Nishika starring the Godfather of 3D photography, Vincent Price. So here is part two of for your delectation: If this film doesn't make you don't run out and buy one of these, then quite frankly there is something deeply wrong.

It's raining cats & dogs in Broxbourne and I'm stuck inside, when I should be on my bike. No matter! Here is a photo of the market in Yecapixtla in Mexico. Yecapixtla is famous for it's cecina -thin strips of beef steak which are delicious with tortillas, guacamole and nopal (cactus). This is an image of the market where people can buy the cecina to take home or to eat in the many stalls. Delicious. And it's wasn't raining. Holga on bulb mode. Exposure was a complete guestimate. More here.

Mention Holland and most people think of canals, windmills, rubbery cheese and a relaxed attitude to soft drugs & prostitution. However, Holland is also famous for it's cyclist friendly flat landscapes as well as it's landscape artists. Less well known is the fact that Holland's Van Nicholson manufacture some of the finest bicycles in the world (albeit the frames are made in China). And here is one - the frame crafted from Titanium, carbon forks, Sram rival chainset and brakes, the Van Nicholson Zephyr is a light as a feather and a dream to ride. She also climbs hills like a breeze, which as handy as I have to ride her up the Passo della Stelvio, Mortirolo, Umbrail & three other climbs from the Giro d'Italia in a couple of months. This really is a Dutch masterpiece and the best thing about this particular work of art is that it is mine! Nobody cut their ear off to make this machine and she's all the more beautiful because of it.
