London to Paris in 24 hours

On 6th April I rode from London to Paris in 24 hours, a total distance of 256 miles, with the Lloyd's Cycling Club.

The weather during the day was cold but bright and a favourable wind made good riding. At night the temperature dropped to -6 C and the final 120 miles were abit harder than we expected.

Still we made it and my wife was waiting to greet me in Paris.  We celebrated our wedding anniversary that week end in some style with lunch in the Eiffel Tower.

We also managed to raise £108,500 for a very worthy cause which made all the effort well worth it.

These photos of the ride and of Paris were shot with a Vivitar UWS loaded with expired Kodak Tri X.
